Steelhead in the Classroom is an educational classroom experience coordinated by the Humboldt County Office of Education (HCOE) in partnership with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. Beginning in the 2021 school year, Pathmakers is partnering with the Steelhead in the Classroom program to provide weekly lessons based on Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) of the river, the wildlife, and the history of the Indigenous people for whom the river is life.
